Viewing architecture as a vessel for light, this project uses structural layers and material characteristics to mold light into various expressions—dense and translucent, rounded or sharp. This not only shapes direction within the space but also introduces texture and even a sense of touch. As one traverses through the light and along its edges, the architecture becomes both a container for light and a form of art. This project is located in the urban redevelopment zone at the foot of Huangqi Mountain in Dongguan, where part of the area was formerly Huolianshu Village and later became Huolianshu Community. Over decades, the neighborhood has accumulated rich history, marked by the traces of residents' work and daily life. In the process of regenerating this urban village, we view the architectural volumes as mediums of time, transforming the once concrete landscape into abstract, modern structures. Familiar visual elements are preserved to attract people to linger and build new emotional connections with Huolianshu Village.

將建築視為光的容器，本案利用結構層次和材質特性，將光捏塑成不同表情型態，稠密與薄透，圓潤或明脆，不僅在空間包裹出方向，還有了質地甚至觸感。在光裡、邊界上遊走，建築既是光的容器亦為藝術的形式。 本案是東莞黃旗山下預定都市再造的開發區塊，部分原為火煉樹村、再轉為火煉樹社區，數十載街區深具歷史，遍佈居民勞動經營生活的痕跡。在城中村再生過程，我們視量體為時光介質，過往具象地景轉換為抽象、現代的建築。其中保留似曾相識的視覺元素，吸引人們親近停歇，累積新的火煉樹村情感。
